Aghios Pavlos is on the South West coast of Crete, between Loutro and Aghios Roumelli.
You can catch a boat there . . . or you can walk, either a hot walk just too far above the sea to be able to go for a dip, or over the mountains above.
It's worth it when you get there, the black volcanic sand and the crystal clear sea.
There is a funky taverna a church, and a long empty beach.
It might just be the most laid back place you'll find.
The walk from Loutro is about three and a half hours.
